OUR COMMITMENT TO PEOPLE

The protection and advancement of human rights along our value chain is one particular priority area. GTL Textile Limited works hard to ensure that the highest labor standards are followed and protected in the factories.

KEY IS TO MONITOR EVERY STEP AND WORK CLOSELY WITH PARTNERS

To commit to improving continuously the working conditions of the people making our garments, we are working closely with the Fair Wear law. We also support our partners’ factories in their efforts to improve their corporate social responsibility.
Furthermore, we have in place a number of processes to ensure decent working conditions on a daily basis, including a strong Code of Conduct, a Sustainability Corporate Responsibility Policy, Suppliers Compliance Guidelines, a Restricted Substances List, monthly reports, and daily visits to our partner factories.

SECURING GOOD WORKING CONDITIONS

ALL NEW PARTNERSHIPS ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING CERTIFIED. GTL Textile Limited is also committed to partnering with companies that share our values of respect for people and the environment, and who are ready to collaborate with us to improve their processes. OFFICE EMPLOYEES AT GTL Textile engage directly with our business partners to develop positive relationships, analyze their performance against our Sustainability Commitment, and assist them in making changes through various programs and activities.

They have close contacts with not just our commercial partners, but also non-governmental organizations, experts, stakeholders, and local governments, which means they understand the challenges and how to achieve improvements in a local context. Once we’ve established a relationship with a supplier, we work with them to enhance their sustainability performance through training and by rewarding them with greater orders of items if they do well.
